Why TeikuroTRD?

At TeikuroTRD, we provide superior service on every part regardless of your company’s size. Our TRD process uses a vanadium carbide layer measuring .0001 to .0008 inches thick with a hardness of 3,200 to 3,800 Vickers that greatly increases the life of forming and shearing tools used under severe working conditions. We focus on education and service, not fancy advertising, to ensure our customers reap the most benefit from TRD coating.

We pursue perfection because a superior TRD coating is in the details. Teikuro TRD offers;

Teikuro Total Die Management – Teikuro TRD’s highly skilled, experiences and knowledgeable support staff is able to handle all aspects of managing your dies. We provide, a). Trouble shooting visits, b). Free on site training, c). Die try out support after TRD process, d). die-coating scheduling and budgeting for entire program, e). disassembly and reassembly of die block and provide press-ready condition f).  Special die preparation and minor weld repair, g). Die pick-up and Delivery h). Follow up visits and experienced support. TeikuroTRD staff is available to assist you anytime.

Superior Substrate Surface preparation – The key to a long lasting coating is careful preparation and extensive radii enhancement and polishing of the substrate before TRD processing. Using their extensive   die experience and knowledge, our die experts carefully analyze each piece and optimize the substrate finish of all working surface to optimize performance and life expectancy.

State-of–the–Art Distortion Control – We take extra time to carefully measure and record the dimensions of each part to within .0001 inch at multiple stages of the process. TeikuroTRD’s  proprietary program contains an expanding database of information from over 60,000 TRD processes that give us a unique understanding of how a die will behave when heated and cooled. Thus, we can guarantee that your die will be truly “ Press-Ready” when you receive it.

Better Removal of Old Coatings – Teikuro’s unique process removing previous coating on dies is quick and clean. It leaves a smoother substrate surface that maintain die size better and makes it easier to prepare for resurfacing.
